SAFETY & RISK MANAGEMENT

Even though Nepal is a very safe country risk is an inherent part of what we do and from time-to-time things do happen, like in any country. We address this risk with a prevention before correction approach.

On tour your child, our client, has needs unique to them in their own way, physically, emotionally and psychologically. They will be tested through visiting remote places, being exposed to unfamiliar surroundings, trying new foods, possibly trying an adventure sport and trekking through the Himalaya

OUR APPROACH

Our prevention before correction approach means we identify potential key risks and put in place measures to ensure the risk does not eventuate or reduce its severity. However from time to time issues do arise, this happens in life, people get sick, sprain ankles etc. In instances like this our staff revert to our critical response safety procedures drafted to manage risks once they have arisen.

Examples of our preventative approach includes things like including walkie-talkies for our guides on trek and having a leader at the front and back of the group. An example of our critical response procedure on trek includes emergency helicopter evacuation procedures or hospital evacuation.

You & Your Childs Responsibility

Clients and parents have a role to play in safety as well. We rely on clients to adhere to our code of conduct and terms and conditions, which is provided prior to departure. We expect parents and clients to ensure any forms and questionnaires are completed accurately. This information ensures your childs unique needs are taken care of

Contact and Updates

Throughout your child’s tour you will also be kept updated in a public forum about the group generally and also in a specific manner should this be required. This will occur through Facebook updates and email

On top of this our Australian staff are available 24/7
